QUANTUM CONNECTIVITY
In this world, matter is changed to light, atoms are linked (entangled) across space and time, and an infinite number of possibilities must be measured and analyzed at the atomic level. Infinitesimal shifts in sound, light, or temperature bring noise that destroys the delicate atomic balance. Quantum communications must manage all of these variables at the sub-atomic level.
And that’s just the start.
As quantum processors are pushed to communicate across distances that evolve from the board to the cluster and eventually the global level, noise variables become exponentially harder to control.
And therein lies the need for an extensible quantum network architecture which unfolds layers of technology to address the expanding problems of scale.
TECHNOLOGY
A quantum network control system allows addressing of atoms through laser modulation at the point of the QPUs; switching and routing of photons across the network; and controlling the interaction of photons for entangling different QPUs in the quantum network.
Quantum memory modules provide the ability to hold qubits in memory state (when needed due to distance, timing, noise, or workflow requirements) in the form of a stable rare earth qubit and subsequently operated on to achieve entanglement between similar or dissimilar QPUs.
Quantum network interface card allows the extraction of qubits from QPUs in the form of photons and accomplish the “matter to light” conversion process which enables these qubits to traverse optical network as photons.
